Tap Profile > Notification Preferences

From here, you can toggle on or off the two types of notifications sent from your Mendi app.

If you've already enabled specific notifications in your Mendi app but they aren't showing as banner, lock screen, or notification center alerts on your device, check that Mendi app notifications are also enabled in your device settings.

1. Enabling and Disabling Notifications on Your Device

To start, go to your phone's Settings.

For iOS:

  1. Tap Notifications > Scroll down, then tap on Mendi > Ensure Allow Notifications is toggled on
  2. Optional: In the Options section, you can adjust the Show Previews setting to Always if you’d like Mendi notifications to be visible even when your phone is locked. This can be particularly useful if you often use Face ID, as it helps prevent missed notifications.

For Android:

  1. Tap Apps & Notifications > Go to App Info > Tap Mendi listed in this section
  2. Tap Notifications or App Notifications
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Tap Show Notifications, then tap "On"
    • Tap Allow Notifications

2. Notification Specifics

Mendi offers two types of notifications designed to help you stay consistent with your brain training and track your progress effectively.

1. Neurofeedback Session Reminders

These daily reminders help you maintain a regular brain training routine by prompting you to complete your neurofeedback session at your chosen time. Consistency is key to improving focus, reducing stress, and enhancing overall cognitive performance. Enabling these reminders ensures that you stay on track and make the most of your training.

2. Goal Check-In Reminders

To help you track your cognitive progress over time, Mendi provides periodic check-in reminders based on your selected goal. You have the option to receive these reminders every 1, 2, or 3 months, depending on your preference.

Since cognitive and mental well-being improvements take time, these check-ins allow you to measure meaningful progress while avoiding unnecessary testing. Depending on your chosen focus area, you’ll be asked to retake one of the following assessments:

  • Well-Being: WHO-5 Well-Being Index – Measures overall mental well-being and quality of life.
  • Mood: Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) – Assesses common symptoms of depression.
  • Anxiety: Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item (GAD-7) – Evaluates common symptoms of anxiety.
  • Stress: Perceived Stress Scale-10 (PSS-10) – Measures how you perceive and handle stress.
  • Focus: Attention Control Scale (ACS) – Assesses your ability to maintain and shift attention.

These reminders ensure that your training aligns with your evolving needs and help you stay motivated by tracking clear progress over time. You can manage or disable these notifications anytime in your Mendi app settings.
