The Mendi Score is a simple way to track your overall brain training progress in the app.
It was created in response to user feedback that the original data points — Neural Activity, Oxygenation, and Control — were useful but sometimes difficult to interpret on their own.
The new score brings these together to show your progress at a glance, combining both performance and consistency in your training.
How the Mendi Score Works
Your daily Mendi Score ranges from 0 to 100 and is based on two key factors:
Performance: How effectively you activate your prefrontal cortex during training, compared to your personal baseline.
Commitment: How regularly and how long you train over time.
The more consistent your sessions and the stronger your focus, the higher your overall Mendi Score.
Understanding Your Session Data
Alongside the Mendi Score, you’ll still see three detailed measurements during and after each session:
Neural Activity: Reflects how active your prefrontal cortex is during training; higher activity suggests more engagement and focus.
Oxygenation: Shows changes in oxygen-rich blood flow to your prefrontal cortex, which increases as you sustain attention.
Control: Indicates how steadily you maintain that focus — it measures the consistency of your neural activation rather than its peak strength.
These three data points give you deeper insight into your performance, while your Mendi Score summarizes your overall progress and training habits.
📊 Tip: Check your score trends over time instead of focusing on individual sessions — consistency matters most.
Availability
The Mendi Score and session metrics are available in the latest version of the Mendi app for iOS and Android. Update your app to access all features.
