If your Mendi doesn’t connect or the signal seems weak, these quick steps usually solve the problem.

1. Mendi won’t connect to the app

Start with the basics:

  • Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.

  • Keep your headset close to your phone (within 1 meter).

  • Charge your Mendi  with the provided USB A-to-C cable for at least 1 hour, then try again.

iOS

If your Mendi won’t reconnect or fails to pair:

  1. Reinstall the Mendi app.

  2. Restart your phone immediately after reinstalling.

  3. Open the app and log back into your account.

  4. When prompted, grant Mendi:

Bluetooth permissions & Permission to find other devices

  5. Please make sure to accept both requests when they appear.

Android

  1. Ensure your Mendi has been charged for at least 1 hour using a USB-A to USB-C cable (not C-to-C).

  2. Delete the Mendi app and its cache, then download it again from the Google Play Store.

  3. Launch the app and log in.

  4. Ensure location settings are active and grant Bluetooth permissions and access to Location services (required by Google; Mendi does not use your location).

  5. Press the power button on your headband. As long as Bluetooth is on, the device should connect automatically.

2. Weak or unstable signal

  • Position the sensors flat above your eyebrows on clean, dry skin.

  • Keep hair away from the sensors.

  • Train in a soft or dimly lit environment to avoid light interference.

  • Hold your device at eye level and try to stay still during training.

3. App not responding or explore videos won't play

  • Force close the app and reopen it.

  • Check for updates in the App Store or Google Play.

  • If the issue continues, uninstall and reinstall the app to refresh permissions and cache.

4. Charging issues

  • Use the included USB-A to USB-C cable.

  • Make sure the charging light slowly pulses  when plugged in.

  • The headset's power light should remain constant when powered on after being unplugged (unless searching for bluetooth).

  • If not, try a different USB port or wall adapter.
