General Troubleshooting for the Mendi App and Account

If something in your Mendi app isn’t working as expected — from missing data to login problems — try these quick steps first. Most issues can be solved in just a few minutes.

1. Check Your Internet Connection

Mendi needs an active internet connection to sync your data and log in.

  • Make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data.

  • If your session data isn’t appearing, give it a few moments to sync once you’re online.

2. Force Close the App

Sometimes your app just needs a quick refresh.

  1. Close the app entirely so it is not going in the background either.

  2. Restart the app.

  3. Log back in with the same email address you used to create your account.

If the errors persist after this, continue to the next step.

3. Restart or Reinstall the App

Cached data can occasionally cause display issues or connection errors.

  • Uninstall the Mendi app.

  • Restart your phone.

  • Reinstall the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.

  • Log back in using your original account details.

This often resolves syncing issues, missing scores, or frozen screens.

4. Make Sure Permissions Are Enabled

Mendi needs access to certain phone features to work correctly.

  • Bluetooth: Required for connecting your headset.

  • Location: Required by Android for Bluetooth device scanning (Mendi does not use or store your location).

  • Notifications: Helps remind you to train and keeps you informed about updates.

Check these in your phone’s Settings → Apps → MendiPermissions.

5. Update the App

Make sure you’re running the latest version of the Mendi app.

Updates include new features, bug fixes, and improvements to data syncing and connectivity.

6. Check the Headset Connection

If the app opens but won’t connect to your Mendi:

  • Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.

  • Keep the headset close to your phone (within 1 meter).

  • Charge the device for at least 30 minutes before trying again.

If you’re using iOS and your Mendi won’t reconnect after pairing once before, try “Forget This Device” under iPhone Bluetooth settings, then restart and reconnect through the app.
